I’m not usually one to do holiday jewelry, whatever the holiday. But, I woke up with a, uh, hair up my yeah, and decided to challenge myself. A while ago I stumbled upon Melissa over at One Eared Pig Beads and her amazing glass Goddess beads. I used one of her Goddesses for my very best friend’s pregnancy necklace, and let me tell you, it was stunning!
This morning I had the itch to use another one of her Goddesses in an Independence Day inspired piece. She’s a beautiful red Goddess, swirls of red from deep to bright, with a figure to match, perfect for Lady Liberty! So I spent a few hours today with my good friend Ashley, at her bead shop, creating my ode to Lady Liberty – Goddess of Freedom.
I wonder if anyone will take notice of her bodacious ta tas if I wear her to our local Fourth of July parade in the morning? I guess we’ll have to find out!
