I’ve been hiding, again.

But this time it was productive hiding! Ashley introduced me to bead embroidery and I’ve been spending some time learning and practicing the technique. It’s quite addictive I must say.
This is my square for our monthly bead embroidery guild project. Each month we pick a color, and this one was for orange. Obvious eh? I didn’t use a pattern, I just freeform stitched the beads down on to some rubberized flannel (think waterproof changing pad material). Our next col0r challenge is turquoise and I’m really looking forward to it.
In the mean time. I had a 25 compartment tray of seed beads in my lap earlier, each compartment filled with a different seed bead. Lots of those seed beads were size 15 (think 1/25th of an inch). I spilled it. Now they’re all mixed up. And so am I.

Love all the colors…wish I had the patience for embroidery…and for picking up all those beads! Good luck. – CT
