Let me tell you about one of my new favorite gemstone bead suppliers, and a great thing they’re doing! First off, Gemphora has exquisite stone beads at amazing prices. What’s not to love? I highly reccomend signing up for their newsletter to find out about upcoming deals and offers that are always changing. I also reccomend checking out their blog for great articles about the beads they offer and other bead insight.
Today I wandered over there and was happy to see this entry about A Helping Paw.
Gemphora has chosen a terrific charity called, “A Helping Paw.” Located in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, “A Helping Paw is a no-kill, volunteer run organization dedicated to increasing the human/animal bond and decreasing the deaths of innocent homeless animals,” and is dedicated to, “Ending the suffering and deaths of … animals by increased adoptions, aggressive spay/neuter programs and public education.” The organization also provides “permanent enriched care for unadoptable pets at our sanctuary.” (Source: www.ahelpingpaw.org)
Check out their charitable donation page! Personally I’m a fan of the lovely Natural Rose Quartz beads that are a perfect reward for a simple $5 donation. What a great stone for this project! Rose Quartz has long been used to symbolize peaceful, true, and innocent love, which is exactly what our pets offer to us each and every day. Why not return the favor and help?

Thanks for the tip. Will have to check them out! – CT
