Of Magic and Good Luck Charms

It started with the key. It’s a vintage key from Germany circa WWII. Maybe it was from a hotel? Maybe it was from some kind of office? All I know is it’s HUGE and I love it!
From the key I’ve dangled an assortment of charms, all of which are used as good luck charms or magical talismans in various parts of the world.
I have to say, this piece includes the oddest thing I’ve ever used in a piece of jewelry, mouse bones from a dissected owl Pellet. I’ve sealed them inside a small glass bottle with silver wax and wrapped the top with steel wire. A bit macabre, a little bit voodoo, a whole lotta funky.
Also in the mix, a Turkish evil eye bead, a lucky penny (1969), a faceted ruby, a smooth sun stone, a quartz point, a lady bug on a leaf, some amber, a heart, and some yummy carnelian.
I’m sure if you look hard enough you’ll see something else in there….what is it?
Yes, this piece is heavy, but it’s not unbearable. It’s definately for the girl who’s not afraid to make a statement with her jewelry! It will be in my Art Fire shop soon! Maybe tonight? Maybe!

Oooohhh…. *drooling* :) Now that’s what I call jewelry!
I still think that’s an awesome piece of jewelry. My poor pocketbook… if it wasn’t so beaten down and trod upon, I’d snatch that from ya in a heartbeat.
Thanks! I’ve been wearing this one out just to see if it’s comfy, and it it!
