Rarely is there a time when I splurge on myself. After the previously mentioned trunk show I found myself with a little bit of spending $$ that was just for me. What does a girl do? Usually this girl buys beads, but not this time!

There’s a new shop in San Juan Bautista, California called Artemis Arte. I met the owners one evening while leaving the bead store, they were walking through town after looking for a potential rental property. Within a week they were open! I managed to get some time to wander down there to see the beautiful offerings they told me about. I fell in love with their boots. *sigh*  It’s not very often that I find shoes that I like. I’m not a shoe girl in general, then when I do wear them they’re always sandals, or some variety of open toed shoes. I couldn’t resist the boots.

With my foot issues I can rarely find shoes that are comfortable in my size AND pretty. Erkan, the owner, helped me find something that would work for me. I tried on a pair of the Coyboy style, and the tops fit wonderfully but the toes were too pointy and the heel too high. What was the solution? Sine he owns the factory that makes these beautiful boots, he custom ordered a pair for me. A Cowboy top with a Gypsy sole in a size 11, perfect!

Now I have to be patient and wait for them to get here. He said about three weeks…which feels like a lifetime when I’m waiting, but I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!

Did I mention the amazing jewelry they have? That will have to be my next splurge….someday…hopefully soon!
