This year’s pumpkins…

Yesterday and today I spent a few hours carving on my pumpkins. Kiddo and Mom and I went to the pumpkin patch on Friday, just a quick stop, to get a few pumpkins to play with over the weekend. We’ll be going back this coming week, on a weekday, to take some pictures of all of the amazing pumpkins they have this year! A lot of them look like heirloom pumpkins, which is a nice diversion from the regular orange pumpkins that you see everywhere. We bought a white pumpkin for kiddo, a small perfectly round orange and green pumpkin for me, and a big multi color pumpkin they called a “Fairy Tale” pumpkin. It’s a great mix of deep orange and green, looks like it’s been airbrushed.
Anyway…I did my usual carving on them with lino tools. This year, I couldn’t find my usual lino cutter, so I had to go looking around for some. All I could find was a cheap set of “woodcarving tools” at Michaels. That’s what I used on these, just a quick shot so you can see what I’ve been up to!

Pumpkins 2008
The bottom one isn’t finished yet, I needed to give my hands a break. I’m so happy I still have the strength in my hands to do this sort of things…as I’m sure I won’t in the future.
Anyway, Sunday is going to be beach day. It’s been beautiful over there all week, so we’re heading out early in the day to spend some time over there!
I hope you’re all having a good Fall this year…
Blessings.
Peace.

What pretty pumpkins! I love the scrol-ly bits. :)
Btw-did you get the email I sent you a little while back? I never got a response.
