It’s a bit early…

Spring is here in my neck of the woods. The birds are singing and the trees are blooming. Want proof?

Baby Hummingbirds! Aren’t they the cutest? We happen to have the little things all over our complex here. Lots of flowers for them. Every year we find nests in the landscaping, often times at or below eye level! This year, there’s a nest beside the stairs to our place. I didn’t notice it until Sunday, and their location was only given away by the proliferation of teeny tiny bird bombs on the railing.

I snapped these shots this afternoon. The little things were watching me closely the entire time. I was amazed I was even able to get a picture of them since the wind was blowing pretty hard and they were swaying all over the place! Their mama was hovering around, waiting to feed them. So I stepped away and let her get to work. I love spring!

In other news, I managed to get something new made in the past few days. Here’s a less than perfect shot of it. The pendant is from Red Crow Arts over at etsy.

Springing

I went a little wild with it, used a lot of different beads to keep things moving. I even made a bracelet in the same palate.

Tomorrow I need to get some decent shots of both pieces, along with a few other things I’ve finished recently so I can get them posted in the shop. Work work work!
