The creative process can be a bear, can’t it? For me, starting a project is often the hardest part. A favorite starting point of mine? Bead mixes! I used to shy away from using glass beads…until I found Ingrid Hein’s amazing lamp work beads. Then, I poked around a bit more, and she got me hooked on her high quality Czech glass beads. Now, she has a great selection of bead mixes!
I took her Primordial Soup mix:

Then added to that, and came up with this:

They make a great starting point, where you can then add to it, bring certain colors out, expand on the colors all ready there…the possibilities are endless. Here are a couple of pieces I created from Ingrid’s Raku Mix
