Working with bronze…

A while ago I found some nice cast bronze clasps and beads. Solid bronze is a great color…not silver, not gold, not copper…it’s a combination of the three and I really like it! After I found those, I ordered myself some solid bronze wire, then set it all aside.

Well, over the past day I’ve been playing with it!

Green and Black with Bronze

This fist piece is “Military Jasper’ with bronze and some neat Pyrite Agate coins. I have no idea what “Military Jasper” is, but, it’s not Jasper. The green parts of it are softer than the black, then there are a few milky quartz inclusions as well. It’s pretty, whatever it is! The Pyrite Agate is unusual as well! It’s a translucent agate with a black material is in, peppered with Pyrite. I’m going to take some to my lapidary friends and see what they have to say.

Bronze Queen

This piece features some nice Boro glass beads from Glass Gypsy over at Etsy. They’re a lovely mix of colors and are super hard to photograph! They went nicely with the bronze wire and some purple tinged cultured pearls! It’s fit for a queen!

There’s more to this creative burst…I’ll get them listed in the shop soon.

In other news, my knee surgery is fast approaching. November 1st is the day, and the closer it gets, the more nervous I am. I’ve been through this surgery twice before but that doesn’t change things, much. I’m sure things will be fine…anesthesia scares me though!

Hmm…that’s all for now. I need to process some images of the Elephant Seals that hubby and I watched on Saturday.

Blessings.
Peace.

Very beautiful. I do so love the simplicity of these and cannot wait to see what you put in your shop. I am sure the surgery will go fine. I always have a prob with the whole IV thing. I have little old lady vains that have never taken the first prick.
