Forest Dreams…

A dream…of a deep forest…dark….lush green hiding in the shadows along with damp earth. Glints of sun through the leaves. That’s what I dream of on a regular basis. One of my favorite places in the world is Ash Cave in the Hocking Hills region of south eastern Ohio. It’s always so green there. Even in the heat of Summer, it’s green.
That’s where I go in my dreams. To my cave. To sit and enjoy the light and the air and the dirt. The way the light filters through the leaves and lights up the red sandstone…it’s like someone is turning on the lights. I love it.
So…that’s where I was going with this necklace. The pendant is a raku piece from Red Crow Arts. I’ve had it in my stash for a while now, waiting for the right creation. To me, it looks like it has an eye in it…dreaming.
There are lots of leaves throughout the necklace, in varying colors and shapes. Aventurine in a soft green and an emerald green, red agate, pale green jadeite, solid copper, glass, and one brecciated jasper star.
The forest, as I see it in my dreams.
Thank you.
Blessings.
Peace.
